The Project directions dictated the two tablets of the Ten Commandments on an aged leather parchment with a compass like graphic with morals they supplied and a burnished, basic-looking "of the period" type of map of the region.

The "leather" background was hand-drawn paper that I stained with coffee and tea to make it look like leather then I "ripped", aged and burnished the effects digitally in Photoshop.
